The challenge
The challenge
Passwordless authentication is a better experience than passwords. That does not automatically make it an easy purchase.
The product needed to speak to several audiences at once: product leaders who wanted less friction, security teams who needed confidence, and commercial teams who needed a simple explanation of value.
My role
My role
I worked on messaging, go-to-market architecture, and sales outreach strategy in the period before the company’s exit.
My job was to help connect product capability to a sharper commercial story: why the product mattered, who should care first, and how that story should travel through marketing and sales.
What we did
What we did
Simplified the value proposition
We moved the conversation from infrastructure to outcome: fewer passwords to manage, less friction at sign-in, a smoother path from visitor to customer, and a stronger foundation for identity and trust.
Created a usable GTM architecture
We clarified the relationship between core audiences, key messages, proof points, and channels. This gave marketing and sales a shared structure for talking about the product without reducing it to generic seamless-login language.
Built for the sales conversation
The messaging had to work beyond the website. We shaped outreach and sales narratives that could open a conversation with the right stakeholders and make the case for change.
Outcome
Outcome
The work gave OwnID a more coherent product story and practical go-to-market foundation at a critical stage of its growth.
What I learned
In complex categories, the best positioning does not remove technical depth. It gives buyers a reason to care before asking them to understand it.
